&lt;P&gt;I think this can be done if I understand your intent. Areas could be labeled from a &lt;U&gt;&lt;A href="https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2017/ENU/AutoCAD-Core/files/GUID-F53A2A1A-48F9-42CE-9FBA-8C17A0200EE3-htm.html" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;database&lt;/STRONG&gt; &lt;/A&gt;&lt;/U&gt;and then the queries could be done there to take you to the room in AutoCAD. PDF files could then also be underlayed or hyperlinked for each room or area.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You might however, find that &lt;U&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;A href="http://www.autodesk.com/free-trials" target="_blank"&gt;AutoCAD Map 3D&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/U&gt; is much better suited to this type of project. &amp;nbsp;You might download a trial to see how it might work for you.&lt;/P&gt;
