HI,

for such cases of line types the most powerful and practical way is to use either ARRAY or Dynamic block.especially when colors and thickness are used.

Good Luck..

Good day everyone. I wanted to see if anyone could offer some inside in how to create a custom linetype for sewer lines, and I am not allowed to use letters in such lines. For now I've just created a line, offset it x distance both ways, hatch it, exploit the hatch and the re hatch every other. This process is very time consuming and when ever I have to make changes makes me wish I had discovered this forum before lol. I am attaching a sample foto of how I would like to linetype to look like to see if it is even possible or not.

(ideally would be the third one from the top, because it seems that represent better a flow of direction.)

I created a screencast showing how one could create this line. There were a couple bumps edited out. (mainly the complexity of the shape) first you make the shape and then you use the shape when you make the linetype.

As @imadHabash suggested there may be better ways to achieve this if you are looking to have it look like the picture you provided. I frequently use array path to create things that look like lines and its fairly easy to work with.

Just curious, but why can you not use letters with these lines?
