Images are rectangular.

As @Patchy said, use Imageclip and use a polygon as your trimming object.

You can make a polygon with like 200 sides and it's a pretty good representation of a circle.

Inserting non rectangular shaped image

Hello

I am attempting to insert an image into a 3d model in Autocad 2016. However I do not want the 2D image to come in rectangular form. I want to insert a 2 dimensional image with a boundary that has curved boundary/edge

Fore example, if i go into photoshop and trace out a circle and erase everything else, my next step would to insert the image into autocad. However, when I insert it into Autocad, the circle shows up which is good, but the image shows up with a rectangular boundary which is not what I want. I want only the circle.

I attempted the wipeout tool. But that only replaces the region that I want to get rid of, with an opaque filling.

This is the image I wish to import into a 3d model. The white region is what I am attempting to get rid of. The surface it is going on is an arched wall. You can notice from the image that the region within the arc that is white, I wish to get rid of in the model.

Are you saying Imageclip allows this?
