The CTRL key option is good to know. Thanks. If I can't find a more permanent solution, I may stick with that for the most part.

I could swear that, in earlier versions, when you had autocaps on in your the editor, that would transfer to the attribute editor. Is there any way to have caps on in that editor, without having to turn caps lock on in your machine?

Not on any pop-up attribute editor, it never did that: it will do it in most in-place editors that do not bring up dialog boxes.

Ask in one or more of the customizations forums here how to do what you wish https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-customization/ct-p/AutoCADTopic1

If you have the all caps turned on in the text editor you can hold down the CTRL key and double click the attribute that you want to edit and it will work. But this way doesn't use the attribute editor it a quicker way to edit an attribute.
