I've also posted about this issue on the Civil 3D forum, but thought someone on the AutoCAD forum may have run into this problem.

I'm having problems inserting details using the Civil sheet set manager (SSM )Model Views and Sheet Views.

After inserting the model view, I'm trying to lock the viewport in paper space, but I keep getting an error message "Object was open for read". I cannot change the viewport display lock using either the properties dialog box or the display lock icon in the status bar. See attached image "display lock.jpg"

If I save the file after inserting the model view, close, and re-open the file, then I'm able to lock the model view viewport. So I'm not sure why I can't lock the model view viewport when I initially insert it, but I can lock it after I reopen the file?
