I am trying to put dimentions on my object. The previous objects were in inches and this one in millimeters. On the previous objects the dimentions showed right up, but on the millimeters one no numbebrs are showing up. Any suggestions?

Consider your model scale and/or your template choice...

If you draw your metric model on an imperial (inch) template then maybe you can consider selecting your whole model and scale it down by a factor of .03937 (scale factor for mm). If you are happy with the template you are using then maybe you should make adjustments in the dimension style mager, as "ennujozlagam" said, and save the adjusted template as a metric version for future use.

Also, take notice to the "Alternate Units" tab of the dimension style manager. That tab permits dual dimensioning and is typically preset for metric dimensions.
