Hi,

to have multi scaled objects in AutoCAD , you have to convert your blocks to Annotative Blocks , check here how to prepare it . >> Click <<

We are trying to create various scales in model space, we have some details and blocks that are not to scale and we are trying to keep some objects scaled properly, is there a way to have the properly scaled blocks and objects scaled to the size of the not to scaled objects? The objects on the right in this image are scaled properly and the objects on the left are not to scale and would like to have them all the same size windows.

Hi,

Sorry to say this, but I am really not able to understand your question. Can you explain clearly what you're trying to achieve?

I could see that in the image on to the left you have the Access control door typical and I am not able to see clearly what is to the right. I assume it to be panel details.

My apologies and I figured that did not come out very well.

Yes, the left are Door typicals and the right are Panel Elevations, we are trying to keep the panel elevations to scale (w/ correct dimensions) however making them the same size as the door elevations to the right, is there a way for me to keep the scale of the panel elevations while making them visibly the same size as the door elevations.

Hi,

Yes you can do that by making the Panel details as block and then scaling it with reference length of door details.

It appears you are working in MS. A better approach is to keep MS work in a 1:1 scale, go to a layout and create viewports and set the proper scale to show each detail to the desired printed size.

We have templates and viewports properly scaled in paper space, we were trying to get everything the same size as the unscaled door details with the properly scaled panel elevations the same size rather than the small window it is currently viewed in model space.

If you scale everything to match in size in modelspace, then nothing is at 1:1 scale, which will ruin your paperspace viewport scales if they are scaled and not just visually aligned.

Are you stating that actual 1:1 and plotted measurable scales are not needed in your file moving forward? Then just do it, there is nothing in AutoCAD to automated what you show in your screenshot in modelspace if I understood your responses so far.

EDIT: forgot to add, look up ALIGN command and its scaling feature.

HTH
