Problem with Render Credits in Educational account

Hi!

I'm Alessandro. I have a problem with my educational license in Fusion 360: I did the educational license, more or less 1 year ago, and now I have this problem: a limited number of credits to use for the Cloud Render.

In the new educational license, there is a unlimited number of credits to use them in Cloud Render, but because I have the "old" one, I have limited credits.

How can I do to have the unlimited credits like in the new licenses?

P.S. I leave a screenshot of what my credits are now, I want to get them unlimited like all the others educational accounts

@Thanks for the message. If you still have a valid Autodesk Education account and license, I believe you’ll need to use the old cloud credits first, and then you’ll get the unlimited tokens. Please let us know if you’re not able to use the old cloud credits.

Yes, I have a valid educational license and yes, I can use the Cloud
credits.

I also notice that if I exceed the number of Cloud credits that I have (for ex. I have 30 credits, I need 56 credits to do a render with multiple images positions) I can't do that render, so I think that if I'll finish the credits, probably I'll not able to do more Cloud renders.

With an Education account, there is a limit 16 cloud credit per rendering job. Autodesk is on Holiday today in the US, I’ll confirm this on Tuesday.

When running a Fusion 360 Rendering or Simulation job in the cloud, there is a 16 credit maximum per job. You can run as many jobs as you need.

I think this isn't strictly correct: in my case, the number of credits you need to do a render depends on how many "pieces" you have in your workspace (ex. if I have 1 table I need 8 credits, if I have 2 tables I need 14 credits) so, the other day, I tried to do a "3d render" (a render with 36 frames) at maximum quality, only to see if I'll finish all the credits I can continue to do renders, and it didn't work because I needed more credits than I had.

For this reason I said what I said in the last post.

I'm Italian so, I don't know if the educational license is different from the USA educational license, but for what I can tell you now, in my Fusion it works like this.

So I hope there will be a solution to this problem.

If you have any e-mail or any contact of the support that works on Fusion it'll be a pleasure because I couldn't find them.

I linked down two screenshots for examples of my Fusion on my Mac so you can see too, unfortunately my English is not very good and maybe I explained the problem badly.

Your english is fine. You are correct, the number of required cloud credits will increase as you add more detail or increase the resolution of a rendering. With all Education accounts, there is a limit of 16 per job. that can be submitted. To lower the number of required credits, try to decrease the resolution and or size of the rendering.

Below is information about creating an Education support case. Note that I connected with the support team and confirmed the 16 cloud credit per job limit.

Now I know that I the maximum credits it's 16.

But this does not solve my problem of the fact that in the new licenses there are unlimited credits while in mine I still have limited credits and I am running out and when I'll finish them, I'll not sure that I'll be able to continue to use the Cloud Rendering.

I'll open a ticket and I'll see.

You are correct. The unlimited cloud credits refers to overall cloud credits that are available. The 16 cloud credits per cloud Job, applies to all Education accounts. Sorry for the confusion, but the support team won't be able to change this.

Like you mentioned, running the rendering locally, does not use cloud credits.

yes, no problem!

But I can't do all the "types" of renders in local. I mean, the renders with multiple frames (6 or 36 frames) can only be done with cloud renders.

If the support can't change this, I'll have to do a new license with a new account? I think that it's a bad problem for Autodesk because, for the point of view of an user it's a beautiful "pain in the ..." (haha)

If support can't do nothing, do you have any solutions in addition to not running out of credits and using local rendering?

I understand your concern. But there is no way around this with Education accounts. Note that there is a direct cost to Autodesk when cloud jobs are run, hence the limitation we place on free Education accounts.

Does someone else has another idea?

Yes, I understand that there is a cost for Autodesk for every cloud render that people do, but in the NEW EDUCATIONAL LICENSES the cloud credits are UNLIMITED, so I know that in the normal licenses (for people that use Fusion for work) they pay the credits, but I repeat, only for the new educational licenses they are unlimited, I can't understand why for the oldest one they aren't unlimited.

I understand english, I don't need to change language, maybe sometimes I formulate some incorrect sentences.

You're correct that the number of cloud credits is unlimited for Education accounts, but the number of credits that can be run per job is limited. This applies to all Education accounts; old and new. The team is relooking at the documentation to make this clearer. Sorry that I don't have a better answer for you.
