Is there a location in a fusion file's properties where I can see who all has contributed to a given file? I need to check the original author/creator to ensure my students aren't cheating....

Hi @janna.vandermeer

Great question. Everytime a file is saved in Fusion 360, a version is created. Try the following:

Expand the Data Panel.
To the right of the file, click on the V#
On the bottom-left click on Show all XX versions.
The time the version was created and who saved the file will be displayed.
If desired, you can open a version by moving the cursor over the person's name who saved the file and click on the three dots > Open.

Unfortunately, this doesn't work if the student sends you the .f3d file.

This is one of the most disappointing things I find with Fusion vs Inventor.

I agree with this. I have to save the file to see version information and it shows it as if I have created the file and it does not show student information (original creator).

Thanks for the feedback. I sent this request to the product team.

To help maintain integrity of who authored the file, you can ask your students to also send a screen capture of the file history from the Data Panel.
