With all do respect,

This has nothing to do with security. I'm just asking for Autodesk to not have subscriptions and just allow people to buy the software once like you used to be able to do. Adobe has done the same thing for years and they recently changed the terms of the sale allowing them to view your work and profit off of it. You're tolerance is part of the problem.

This is exactly why open source software will become the standard when enough 3D artists switch to it which many have already made that transition.

I should be able to own the software I am paying for. Everything has gone to subscription and it is almost impossible to purchase software only once and being able to own it. Autodesk claims that subscriptions are beneficial to everyone but they increase the price every year once they release a new version. They intentionally make it almost impossible for anyone to use their products since they lock everything behind subscriptions which is why alot of Developers have shifted towards other products.

I will be sticking with Blender in the meantime until Autodesk starts making changes and has respect for it's customers.

It's nitpicking but you never own software - only the right to use it.

The move to subscription is not in the interest of users but shareholders.

I think you have to wait for hell to freeze over before this will change?

But also keep in mind, Microsoft is aiming real hard to stop that security breach too and if you are on a MAC, well, most software is dead in the water thanks to Apple, no one else.

In the meantime..."I will be sticking with Blender" is a sound business decision for you. Enjoy doing you 100% of the time.
