why can't i see any screencasts here?

hi..

every time someone tries to answer me with a screen cast i keep seeing a rectangle saying "404 error" only when they post a direct link i am able to see it.

do i need to download something?

Thanks for posting! You should not be required to download anything to view screencasts on the Forum site.

What web browser are you using? I have had good luck with Google Chrome. I also noticed that Internet Explorer v10 and older are no longer supported by the Forums - if you are using Internet Explorer please try to update or use a different browser.

Please let me know if you have any questions or if this does not allow you to view screencasts - I'm happy to help!

What version of Chrome are you working with? I am on Version 56.0.2924.87. It may be worth updating Chrome if you are using a previous version.

yep , that's my version as well 56.0.2924.87..it's not like i ever disabled chrome updates

ok, but btw from my work browser it seems i can see screencasts, can you

yes, and it's the same version as my browser at work, and i CAN see it (i have remote desktop to my work machine)

That's interesting. Can you help me to do these steps to troubleshoot:

- Can you view it in other browser? (IE, firefox)

- Are you running under any VPN at work? (If yes, can you turn it off and try again)

- Any extension that may block the embedded video?

let me clarify , the browser at work DOES display the screencast, the one at home does not .

suddenly i started seeing them, not sure what happened, i know i had the same version, but i once had to close chrome (suddnely so it reached 1.8gb in memory, i tend to leave it for days open)
