HELP! Text boxes disappear as soon as I begin typing.

This applies to inputting dimensions as well typing commands. For example when I am drawing a rectangle and press the @ symbol, the two dimension boxes appear, however, as soon as I begin typing the boxes disappear. Same goes with the command bar. As soon as I begin to type, a single letter appears for a fraction of a second, then the box disappears. The command bar itself is on the screen, The issue is NOT the Dynamic Input setting. I have turned this on. I have read every related forum post and nothing has solved my problem. Using 2018 AutoCad LT for Mac. I have tried restarting AutoCad, I have tried restarting my computer. Nothing. I have come across this issue once before, but in the previous case, the Dynamic Input mode was accidentally toggled to 'off.' Fingers crossed someone out there has a fix for this!

@miaX5NPV LT2018 is not new, is this a new installation or a recent problem?
Or a problem limited to one single DWG file?

What is your MacOS version please?

Hi @miaX5NPV ,

The problem you describe is very similar to the behavior of a version of AutoCAD that is incompatible with macOS Ventura.

If you have macOS Ventura on your Mac, then you need upgrade your at least to 2021 version (with the latest Update installed). AutoCAD 2018 is not compatible with macOS Ventura and will not receive updates to resolve this incompatibility, sorry...
