Furthermore - you can edit even .scr file in TextEdit. Right-click on the .scr file in Finder and select "Open with" from the context menu, select TextEdit.app and it will be opened in it.

Edit file and simply save it.

Hello! I am having trouble having autocad on my mac recognize a .scr file. It was originally a .txt and like one would do on windows, i simply renamed it to .scr on TextEdit but neither autocad nor textedit recognized it. I have tried other apps to rename this txt and "save as" a .scr but to no avail.

Any tips on how to convert my .txt file to .scr for autocad on a mac would be appreciated. Thank you
