I'm changing from draft sight to AutoCAD and need to import our plot sheets which are a .cfg file. I don't see the option is import that file type as a template - is this correct?

Also, my print options do not display Acrobat DC as a pdf printer despite it being installed. Any ideas?

Thanks

AutoCAD Mac 2019

Hi Nathan,

Do you want to import Page Setups? If yes, you can try to import them with Page Setup Manager - menu File -> Page Setup Manager, then use "gear" menu under page setup list and select "Import", then select drawing with page setup(s) you cerated in Draftsight.

>>>>>Also, my print options do not display Acrobat DC as a pdf printer despite it being installed. Any ideas?
AutoCAD should show printing device if it is installed in Printers & Scanners pane of macOS System Preferences. Do you have Acrobat DC in System Prefs as one of the printers installed on your Mac?
I wrote: "then select drawing with page setup(s) you cerated in Draftsight." So you have to apply Page Setup(s) to drawing from CFG file in Draftsight (if it is possible), then open this file in Import Page Setup window in AC for Mac.
AutoCAD cannot import CFG files, created in Draftsight directly.

I've scrapped the Draftsight template and have installed a PDF printer on my Mac.

When I go to print the paper size is off and the text (TFF) doesn't export correctly in terms of text thickness. However if I go to "preview" for the PDF, the paper size is correct but the text is still not right, despite it being installed in Font Book and inside the AutoCAD system folder.

Has anyone had similar issues ?

>>>>I have installed a PDF printer on my Mac.
What AutoCAD version are you using?
Since 2018 version there is no need to install PDF printers, AutoCAD has its own build-in PDF printing devices, which you can select in Page setup:

use them and everything should be right with paper sizes and fonts.

In 2017 version you can use build-in AutoCAD PDF "printers" only with Batch publish.

I don't believe you have 2016 version or earlier...
