I recently upgraded many of the hot fixes and updates for 2017 AutoCAD lt and when I went to open AutoCAD lt 2017 nothing comes up. The circle that shows it’s loading comes up for a minute and then no opening of the program so I thought maybe I needed to upgrade to a newer version 2019 AutoCAD lt which I did and it migrated information for 2017 into the 2019 software. then when I went to open 2019 software it would not open. I did right click and get to a screen where I could select single user and enter in a serial number but then when I went back to my account to find the serial number for my online subscription for AutoCAD LT, I could not find the serial number. I’ve had no issues for 2 or so years with my yearly subscription online and now have no way to use even though I’ve paid for it so I’m running the trial version of 2019 until I figure it out.

I downloaded all high severity updates and then Autocad lt 2017 wouldn't open. So I then proceeded to upgrade to 2019 Autocad LT and now it wont open this as well. It did ask to migrate info from 2017 to 2019 and I thought this worked. I cannot find a serial number on any old emails as I run it through a yearly subscription. I was on hold for 30 min but I can't wait. Anyone have any ideas? I am on a Mac as well. mac0s Sierra

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi Tricia,

Can you elaborate what does it mean: "It won't open"?
Does it won't open because you don't know serial number and cannot activate AutoCAD? If so, you can verify your AutoCAD serial on your Autodesk account management page:
https://manage.autodesk.com/cep/#products-services/all
And of course you need to have an active AutoCAD subscription.

If you are able to run 2019 version as trial and you have active subscription, you can create Support request from your Autodesk account page and you can ask for a help here:
https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/installation-licensing/bd-p/24
