plot "landscape" format

Probably a silly question, but can anyone help me configure my plotting to print landscape? I was attempting to use this article-

- but i'm not getting it.

In my old version of autocad i used to run on a pc years ago, i was always able to make prints/plots by using the "window" selection right in model space then select the landscape icon in the page set up editor.

Ive tried both plotting from model space and from a layout in paper space, but get the same result each way.

Hi Andrew,

I cannot reproduce your problem on my side.

Here is my Page Setup:

The same as yours.

The result is in the attachment.

Maybe something is wrong on your side with paper size you are using? Are you using predefined paper size from printer software or it is custom paper size (with the name "US Letter"), which matches predefined from printer software)?

If you are using predefined paper size from printer, then - have you tried to change paper orientation to "portrait"?

Do you have this issue only in one specific drawing?

Hi Maxim,

I have "US Letter" as paper size selected. though maybe i don't understand your question.

Its very strange, but each time i selected the "landscape" mode for printing (which as ive explained, was not working, and just kept producing "portrait" plots, both as prints and previews) the plot function would immediately switch back to "portrait" for the next print. Similarly, i would choose "center on page" and "scale line weights", but the next time i tried to plot, these boxes would be unchecked.

For no reason that i can understand, the plot function now seems to remember certain things like this. I don't know what has changed, but right now i can plot in landscape mode, AND the program seems to "remember" that this was what i last used, and leaves it selected. I have no idea what caused the change. I now seem to be able to go back and forth between portrait and landscape with no problem.

Im guessing this has something to do with my OS update to Mojave. the computer seems to be running strangely now in a number of ways, so I'm not that surprised.

Is the problem in one layout, but all others work just fine in the same DWG?
Is the problem just in this one DWG file, but all others work fine?

Does your HP printer driver have a manual override?
If you select PORTRAIT, does it print correctly?

Post your DWG file, let's all have a look if you are still not able to figure it out.
