Adding a Layout from an existing drawing in the SheetSet

Hi all,

I'm working with AutoCad LT 2016 for Mac, and working with SheetSets.

I had successfully added all my Layouts to the SheetSet, everything works fine, but then I realised I forgot to make one Layout.

So I made a new Layout in a Drawing already part of the SheetSet to complete the job, and tried to upload that single Layout in the SheetSet and it doesn't work.

With Autocad for Windows I used to do it all the time, now it doesn't allow me to because it recognises that the Drawing is already in the SheetSet and asks me to make a copy of the whole Drawing instead.

Is there any way I can solve this easily without creating new Drawings every time I need to add a Layout? Thanks!

Hi Veronica,

Unfortunately this doesn't work on Mac - there is no such feature in AutoCAD for mac Project manager. You can add new Layout to the project only as a part of new drawing. Alternately you need to recreate Project again.

This "bug" generates little but very unnecessary extra work. Autodesk, pleas fix this ASAP!

6 year later and this is still an issue. Considering the cost of Autocad subscriptions it is ridiculous that this has not been fixed by AutoDesk!

Come on Autodesk, re-linking a drawing every time a new layout is created almost makes the project manager pointless, takes away one of the critical aspects of automation.

How do we suggest this as a feature?
