AutoCAD LT 2018 for Mac hanging when launched

I can't use my AutoCAD LT 2018 at the moment, it just hangs when launched and does not open.

This started after the latest update to MacOS High Sierra 10.13.4. What to do? Uninstall and start again?

Hi Simon,
Have you tried to Reset AutoCAD by launching it from the dock with Shift key pressed?

Thanks for your reply. I had no idea that was something that could be done.

Unfortunately I was too hasty and I've uninstalled it.... now trying to work out how to re-install it.... and failing, struggling to find the correct page in the myriad of different pages in the web site...

I'm new to having my own account and finding the web site difficult, not intuitive for me.

So I re-installed it, great, (trial version). But when I click the first screen to Sign In, it just disappears....

On the third attempt I just tried "start a trial"..... but the same happens... "Application not responding"

So far I'm rather disappointed!

I tried to launch with the shift key down. Got further this time, hung on the screen shot attached.

Then shut itself down......

It's working now. Seems to be associated with being connected to a good network and internet connection.

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD for Mac forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

You are correct that a solid Internet connection will affect this as the software is likely trying to perform a license check. What exact OS is installed on your Mac?

Splendid.... would be even better if there was some kind of pop up to explain what the software is doing or trying to do.

That link also provided the reset for Mac but I have updated it with a better article that includes the license reset within the article itself.
