There is the limitation in AutoCAD for Mac Project Manager: if you add new Layout in the drawing which is already in Project, it (this new Layout) cannot be added to the Project in other way then removing the whole drawing from the Project and adding this drawing again.

Maxim

Hi,

I am new to AutoCAD, im using LT for Mac.

I have created a title block with defined attributes - save date, layout name, project title

This worked great for my layout. However i have just created a 2nd layout and apart from the date none of the information seems to update, i just get a bunch of #####.

Have rectified temporarily by copying the first layout and just changing the layout title to text and overriding, I would like a long term solution.

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi Ben,

Do you use Project Manager?
What value you assigned to the "Layout name" attribute? Is it "CurrentLayoutTitle"?

If yes, and you added Layout to the drawing which was already added to the Project, then in order to make this new Layout the part of the current Project (and force Layout Name attribute to show correct value), you need:
- remove the drawing with new Layout from the Project, then add this drawing to the Project again.

Maxim

Thanks Maxim,
Yes this is what I have done.

What would be the best option for keeping one model space with multiple layout but where the title block updates correctly?
Nightmare, I guess I will keep my defined attributes project specific and manually label each layout in the title block.
