Hi.

Im new here...im just installed autocad 2015 student version. crash during startup (mac os sierra )... autocad cant run.. its just not responding... help please.. thanks

Hi @Anonymous,

In order to be able to use 2015 version of AutoCAD on macOS Sierra, you need to install an Update to AutoCAD 2015 form here:

At the same time, as you have student subscription, you are eligible to use the latest version of AutoCAD - 2017, which is fully compatible with Sierra. If you don't see download link to 2017 version in your account management page, you can download it using Autodesk Virtual Agent:

You just need to use the link to Mac version:

Now you can install 2017 version and activate it with your student serial number. The product key for 2017 version is 777I1

It doesn't rally matter. You can uninstall it or leave - it is up to you.
But if it don't launch, you can uninstall it with "Remove AutoCAD.app"

Autodesk just give me an option to install 2 times only for the activation code ... thus it mean im already once for it

Not 2 times, but on two different machines.
As you install AutoCAD on one machine, different releases, but with the same serial, this counts as 1 machine.

I've already download and install 2017 version... but 2017 much more worse.. after installing it just crash ... for your info im install it in imac mid 2011 on mac os Sierra.. is it my hardware or the os

Could you please send out the crash report, and let me know the report ID. The ID is shown in the popup browser page after you send out the report, and it is in format: CER_xxxxxxxx.

What do you mean by "crash"?
Does it shows window similar to this:

Have you passed activation window, where you asked to enter serial number and product key?

After installed finish the opening just loading and the program not
responding.. In 2015 autocad before installed the autocad ask me to key in
the Sn and Pkeys... sorry for the late reply..

the autocad 2017 just keep loading.. and i have to quit not force quit... so theres no report... i have reinstall several time still dont work

Hi,

I downloaded auto cad 2015 on my mac (10.11), and it was working fine until recently. Whenever I run the program, or open a file, it would crash immediately after opening. and i get the same dialogue box you displayed.

would appreciate your help.

Hi May,

Have you installed latest update to AutoCAD 2015?
Here is the link to Update:

If you already installed Update 4, I'd recommend you to perform clean uninstall:
https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-for-mac/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Clean-Uninstall-for-AutoCAD-on-MAC.html

Then install 2015 version again (if you want to stick with it) and install the Update I mentioned above.
