autocad Architect LT 2014 Lost file

Hi,
I have autocad Architect LT 2014 in my Mac computer. After 3 days of work the drawings file I was working on closed unexpectedly, and now I can only see the changes I made during the 3 days in paper space, but NOT in model space. Is there a way to retrieve the work and can you suggest a way to clean up the file if it is corrupted to avoid this from happening again. I tried several troubleshooting suggestions found on the website, but nothing worked.
