I am using LT 2017 for MAC

When Plotting my drawings the text shows boxes around the text and there are multiple layers of text, some at a different orientation

While in paper space everything looks fine but when I plot to a PDF the problem occurs.

ANY Ideas

Could it be that there are background masks or wipeout boxes in which the lines around the text are visible? Maybe check that and then change the draw order of the text and send it to the back in case there is something behind it you can't see. My only other thought would be to check your plot settings an make sure there is not an override of some sort of the plot style.

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi @Anonymous,

Can you attach the resulting PDF? This will help me to answer your question more accurately.
For now I can suppose that:
- you are using SHX based text styles in your drawing
- the "boxes" around the text actually are notes, which AutoCAD places behind SHX text geometry to make text searchable in PDF (if you are saving DWG to PDF), the same "boxes" occurs when you print directly to the printer in AutoCAD for Mac.

If I'm correct, than you can set AutoCAD system variable EPDFSHX=0, than AutoCAD will not create "searchable" text notes and "boxes" around text should go away.

Maxim

Thank you plot styles seem to be correct and draw order ok
