Hi,

how can i move a base point of a block without opening the block? I want to move the base point of several blocks to a special position in the layout. That means I will have to move the base point just in the layout, without moving the block.

May somebody have a good idea, without exploding the hole block.

Hi,

Open block in Block Editor, move the contents of the block with base point where you want new insertion point to 0,0 inside Block Editor.
Save block, exit Block Editor. Now move all blocks to the desired position.

Maxim

You can use "Edit Block In-place" from context menu when block is selected.
Move the block contents to the new position (you need to know where old insertion point was located and use it as base point for MOVE command). Than save block with the button on the Visor.

Maxim

HI @Anonymous,

Another, and older school, method is to wblock the block out of the drawing. Then open it and then use BASE to relocate the insertion point. Then you can insert back into your original drawing (if you purged it out or substitute insert the block)
