Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi,

There is no Design Center in AutoCAD for Mac. But you can manage block libraries with Content Palette:

http://lynn.blogs.com/lynn_allens_blog/2011/01/autocad-for-mac-content-palette.html

http://lynn.blogs.com/lynn_allens_blog/2011/01/managing-content-libraries-on-autocad-for-mac.html

As about other libraries (linetypes, text and dimension styles, etc) - the only one way is to include them in custom Template which you can use for creating new drawings.

Maxim

I have always been Mac user who has been forced to use Windows for the sole purpose of AutoCAD. I'm now fortunate to have a Mac version of AutoCAD and I am trying to link all the libraries [line types, text styles, layers, dimension styles] that i created for the Windows version, in the Mac version. How do i do this? In Windows is it via the Design Centre, where is it in the Mac version? Please can someone assist me, I'm having no joy on the forums.

Thank you for your reply. How would i make use of all the linetypes, text and dimension styles, etc that i already have created [which is all in one drawing]

Regards
Ashik Mallgee
creative director
+27 [0] 82 396 5145 82>
Sent from my iMac82>

You cannot "import" linetypes, text and dim styles with Content palette.
As I wrote before, you can save the drawing with all your linetypes, text and dim styles, layers as a template. Be sure to leave this drawing without any visible objects (lines, circles, text, etc).
Than use this custom template for new drawing creation.

If you already have some drawing and want to "import" linetypes, text and dimension styles, etc into it, you can use INSERT command to insert your custom template (exploded). Than everything from the template will be inside your current drawing.

Maxim

Autodesk missed the point of the design center for Mac users. I still have many applications where design center is more efficient than inserting linetypes or creating templates from existing drawing. Please bring it back Autodesk!

It was never in the MAC version of AutoCAD, where you are posting, so there is nothing to bring back.

You want to ask for it to be added, or Content Explorer get upgraded: that's the correct 'cry for help'.
