Hi Everybody,

I have not been able to find an answer yet. The AutoCAD test version is now expired and in a way, the problem is SOLVED!

Just wanted to share with you all that the AutoCAD support people told me that we do not get support for a test version (We did not requested support. I just wanted to know if it is normal for MAC users to experience such an issue). But if we buy the product, they said, then we will get the support and if it did not work as we want, then we can cancel the purchase in 30 days.

I would say the sheer purpose of the test version is to test and see if the product works properly. If it does, you buy it, or even not (In our case we wanted to do so) but if it does not you contact the producer and ask why this specific problem occurs.

I do not finde this a good business model to say to a costumer, buy and then we will talk. If Mercedes tells me: "buy the car that squeaks on your test drive and then we will SEE if we CAN fix it or not, you can give it back any how in 30 days" (I am in Germany by the way) I would probably say no thank you.

As a user who has used AutoCAD since 1998 on windows, I am deeply disappointed. The way AutoDesk position was not what I was expecting.

Wish you all the best and a merry Christmas.

Cheers.

hi everybody,

I have a Problem. My Auto cad is slow on my MAC Pro (End of 2013).

Processor: 3,7 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon E5

Graphic card: Dual AMD FirePro D500 3072 MB

16 GB 1866 MHz DDR3

I mean very slow. I have a Sony Vaio laptop Z Series (7 years old) and they just do the same thing like in the same time.

I would appreciate it if anybody could give me a hint.

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi.

Is it slow even with newly created simple drawings with small amount of objects?

Do you edit 2D or 3D drawings? How complex they are? What Visual Style do you have active in your drawings usually?

Maxim

Hi Maxim,

When I start from scratch, every thing is smooth. but with more objects, it goes really down.

- I edit both 3D and 2D files.

- The computer has to be able to handle the complex files. That is what I expect you know.

- In 2D mostly 2D wireframe. in 3D sometimes Sketchy.

I would appreciate any help.

AV.
