Recently downloaded and behaving strangely - despite checking, scale, angle, hatch pattern etc when selecting boundary, no hatch appears when entered and the model jumps to extents?

I have copied in an existing hatch - same results.

I have been working with 2015 LT up until now - perhaps I coild reinstall the programme?

Hello Maxim,

Thank you for your response - herewith the attachment - hatch exists in the dwg,

I am using the pink rectangle to the right of the GF Plan for this exercise.

The areas hatched so far were copied-in and trimmed - not the best solution hey?

Regards,

Gray

Sorry, but I cannot understand what do you need. Pink area and pink rectangle both have hatch with "DOTS" pattern applied.

Maxim

Those are existing in the dwg.

I'm sorry my explanation is not clear.

Can you try a new hatch in any other room or outline:

Hatch placement:

~ if you select the boundary option the dwg reverts to extents - no hatch is visible.

~ if you select a point within the boundary option - no hatch is visible (altho one gets the 'undo hatch' option.)

I have attempted this with various hatch scales 100 to 2000 - no success.

I hope this helps.

Gray

Hi Gray,

I was able to hatch sample area (pink rectangle inside cyan rectangle) in your drawing with current hatch scale (I copied hatch properties from yours when I created my hatch).

Before hatching you need to activate viewport (double click inside it) or switch to Model in order to get hatch in Model, where all other hatches are.

Hi Maxim - I'm back - in the end I reverted to autoCAD 2015 LT for Mac which I have been using for the last year, without problem until I downlaoded 2016.

This now displays the same problems - no hatch shows or for that matter there is no selection.

I downloaded your version to a separate folder and can hatch in that - thankyou.

When I revert to the remaining dwgs, no hatch shows.

I have fully uninstalled the trial 2016LT for Mac.

I have confirmed that the variable for MEASUREMENT is set to (1)

Methinks I should have explained that the dwgs I am working on have a long history of multi-users, crash periodically and started out as autoCAD 2004.

Maybe the transfer of autoCAD to Mac is not managing?

Thank you for your continuing interest.

Regards,

Gray

I was also able to enter a hatch pattern in your file. I even selected an area with Boundary first to make sure that was working properly.

Please let me know how your process differs from the one I used in my video.
