Looking at your post here:
https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-for-mac-general/autocad-for-mac-user-give-them-your-feedback/m-p/6007771#M19138
I realised that your problem with "shifting us" could be:
- if you are using Trackpad - you may accidentally touch Trackpad surface with two fingers when Shift key is pressed
- if you are using Apple Magic Mouse - you may accidentally touch Magic Mouse surface with two fingers when Shift key is pressed
-if you are using mouse with scroll wheel - you may accidentally press on the middle button or touch scroll wheel (ball) when Shift key is pressed

All operations above turn on transparent 3DORBIT command and you rotate view direction in the viewport. USC is not affected by this.

Maxim

I am just using AutoCAD for MAC for the first time, (used Acad for PC for a long time..but it was years ago) and when I am in the midst of a move command using the shift key to select multiple objects, the UCS is shifting-moving about. I have to keep returning to Home to reset it. I am only working in 2D and don't need to change the UCS for any reason. Can I lock it so it is always at Home? Thank you in advance for any help!

Hi,

Never had such issue.
Can you switch to another method of object selection? I mean to uncheck "Use Shift to add to selection" option in the "Cursor & Selection" section of AutoCAD preferences.

Another question : Maybe you accidentally touch ViewCube during object selection? Than you can try to turn off ViewCube on the Status Bar.

Maxim

Hello and Thank you! Yes, it is the scroll wheel, which I am accustomed to using for zooming out... Maybe I can turn off the 3DORBIT function since I don't need it?

Looks like you can't turn off this scroll wheel - Shift combination and 3DORBIT too.

Maxim
