Grey color problem

Hello,

I am having a problem when printing grey colors 251, 252, 253 & 254.

When they come out of the printer they are all printed in a sort of beige tint, with 251 the darkest beige tint and 254 the lightest beige tint. So not real grey like they should be. In my plotstyle they are all set to 'use object color'.

Now I downloaded a greyscale file, wich contains all autocad colors, to see if there was somethign wrong with my plotstyle and when I copy my drawing into that file and print from there the colors are perfect.

When I copy a grey layer from the greyscale file and print it from my file it also has a beige tint.

The problem is the same for solid hatches, other hatches and all lines.

So to summary:

Drawing + my file + my plotstyle = beige tint for all of the grey colors.

Drawing + greyscale file + my plotstyle = grey colors are ok!

I gues there must be something wrong with my own file, but I can't figure out what it is.

Update:

The problem only happens when I print from paperspace in my own file.

When I print from modelspace the grey colors print correctly.

So to problem lies with the paperspace of my own file.

Stil no idea what is causing it tough.

Do you have the same Visual style in the paper space viewport as in model space?
Maybe you have viewports overrides for color in the viewport which gives you wrong color?

Maxim

I copied a viewport from the greyscale file to my own file and put them next to eachother.

When I print my own viewport the problem appears.

When I print from the copied viewport the colors are correct.

I selected them both and checked the properties tab, but there are no vissible diffrences there, not even in the 'essentials' tab.

I tried Matchprop but that doesn't work.

Where can I find the overrides?

Overrides are on the layers palette. Check color settings for layers in model space and inside viewport.
Plus verify that visual style is the same.

Maxim

Ok, I think I located the problem.

When plotting drawings (with paperspace) we use a heading with the company logo, address, phone number,....

The heading is added in paperspace.

The text in the heading is mostly black with a few letters in a beige tint.

It looks like the color from that part of the heading somehow "bleeds trough" to the drawing for some strange reason.

When plotting with the heading the problem appears.

When plotting without the heading the problem goes away.

Any ideas on how to fix it other than removing the heading?

UPDATE: Could it be a issue with the printer?

Its extremely odd only the grey colors are affected. It almost as if the autocad or the printer takes its info from the header text and applies it to the entire sheet.
