AutoCAD 2015 Chamfer Problem

Hi,

I am a beginner to AutoCAD and am using the 2015 mac version for students. I am trying to chamfer a rectangle and everytime I try to select an edge I get the following message, "This selection for an edge is invalid."

Can someone please help me.

Hi Justin,
This is really strange, because it should work if you select correct object. Chamfer works with polylines, rays, xlines, 3D solids and surfaces.
You can attach here the drawing with problem, I can look at it.

I figured it out.

I was using the chamferedge icon instead of chamfer.
