Hi group,

I recently installed Autocad 2014 on a macbook pro (XS Yosemite).

After a few days it started repeatedly crashing, following which I installed the Mac Service Pac upgrades (1, 2 and 3).

It has since been working fine exept for 1 thing:

when I try to 3D Orbit it comes up with "Unknown command "3DORBITTRANSPARENT"".

This means in 3D I am stuck on the fixed views (SE,SW,NW,NE)....

Does anyone know how to repair this?

Best,

Michael

Hi Maxim,

Well basically when I go to a 3D view and then hold down shift and drag at the same time the view does not move. A small box next to the cursor flashes up saying: unknown command "3DORBITTRANSPARENT". Press F1 for help.

The same error occurs when I go via the menu to Orbit: View - Orbit - Free Orbit

As soon as I click 'Free Orbit', up flashes the following box next to the cursor: unknown command "3DFORBIT". Press F1 for help.

Constrained orbit works without a problem though...

Best,

Michael

Have you tried to reset AutoCAD?
You can do this via AutoCAD preferences - Application tab, but keep in mind that you will loose your customizations.
Maxim

Can you still use 3DORBIT command if you type it from keyboard.
An alias defined for this command in acad.pgp is 3DO by default.

Maxim
