AutoCAD LT for MAC unable to open AutoCAD 2002 DWG

I recently downloaded a trial version of AutoCAD LT for MAC (2015) and cannot open a DWG that was created on AutoCAD 2002. I am able to open other DWGs, however I have one file that is really large - 56 MB - and I am not able to open this DWG. Is there a size limit with AutoCAD LT?

Try using RECOVER command.

Thanks for responding. I am not able to get to a screen to enter a command on this DWG? Any help would be apreciated.

Start AutoCAD, at the command prompt type:
RECOVER and hit Return, this will open "Open DWG" dialog box, navigate to your problem drawing in it and select, than click on open. This will initiate recovering process.
If it will be successful, save the file.
