I found the folder in the application folder ".../AutoCad LT 2015/Contents/UserDataCache/Support" which has just a handful of .shx files. Is this the location to place the new "archs.shx" file? It doesn't seem to have anywhere near the number .shx files available in text style options when in the application (and none of the true type fonts).

I have a 3rd party text file "Archs.shx" that I've used over the various versions of AutoCad LT for Windows and Mac a recently as the 2013 for Mac version. However, I can never remember where to place it in a newly installed software. The older DWG files now open with "Simplex" as the substituted text style in lieu of "Archs". I would appreciate any advise. Thanks.

Hi,

In Finder switch to the list view, go to "AutoCAD LT 2015.app", right-click on it and select "Show package contents", in the Spotlight search field (upper right corner of the Finder window ) type SHX, scroll down in the list of search results and locate "SHX" folder, double click on it - you are now in the right place.

Maxim

The path to the folder should be:
/Applications/Autodesk/AutoCAD LT 2015/AutoCAD LT 2015.app/Contents/Resources/Fonts/shx/
And don't forget to restart AutoCAD.

Maxim
