I have a query on using data extraction (-ATTEXT), I am managing to extract the block data and attribute information, however what i cant seem to find is a template example to extract a total count of replicate blocks. Each block comes up as an individual entry.

I am trying to create a materials list (schedule of fittings) i.e. a plumbing net work made up of blocks for each type of fitting.

In research I see people usign LSP applications, however I cant find one that will work on mac OS X 10.10 and cad for mac 2015.
I also see people suggesting QSELECT and manually entering each block number as identified in the inspector. (laborious).

Can you please point me in the direction of the cleanest effective way to generate either an 'in drawning' or 'external' schedule of the blocks. specifically the name/type and total number of each.

Hi,

If you need something like block counter, than you can try COUNT-BLOCKS-AND-SAVE-02.LSP routine from this thread:

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/visual-lisp-autolisp-and-general/count-lsp-modifications/m-p/1996864

It works in AutoCAD for Mac.
