Hi,

Yes, in order to reinstall AutoCAD LT you need at first to uninstall it with "Remove AutoCAD LT.app", which you can find inside Autodesk folder in Applications folder. Than you need to download AutoCAD LT installer from the link provided by Jessica and install it again.
When uninstalling you can in-check "Leave my preferences" option to ensure that all settings will be resettled to defaults.

Maxim

I switched to the file structure that is NOT the columns and so far it is not crashing. ( I read that in another forum ) BUT - now when I copy and paste blocks they do not show as I am copying them - they very slowly redraw as I am pasting but eventually show up. I cannot see where I am pasting and it slows the process way down.

Are these things related?

When it crashed previously, I would open a drawing, start working and it would crash pretty quickly.

Thanks Maxim

Glad to hear that you have found the solution about Column view crashes, as about Command window- have you tried to use F2 key (or Fn+F2 if you have default settings for F- keys on MacBook) to show command history?
AutoCAD crashes when you are trying to "un-dock" Command window. Am I right?

Maxim

Hi Mindy,

It's hard to say about the reason without having access to your Mac. Could be a permissions problems- you wrote that AutoCAD crashes when you are trying to open AutoCAD preferences: the only one activity from AutoCAD at the time when you open Preferences is reading and writing some data in the ~/Library/Preferences folder on your Mac, so maybe AutoCAD can not do this because of permissions problems.

Maxim
