Hi,

My advice is to install and use 2015 version of AutoCAD for Mac.
Probably you know that AutoCAD for Mac lacks some of the features of the PC version and in 2015 version a lot of such features were added to AutoCAD for Mac. Plus 2015 version is fully compatible with Mavericks and Yosemte and is more stable than earlier releases.
File formats are the same for 2013, 2014 and 2015 releases (on Mac and PC)

Maxim

Can you tell me? Autocad for Mac 2013, 2014 and 2015 versions, are they very different to use? In my college, they are using 2013 version(for PC, not Mac). And I'm ot sure which one I should install. If I work on college's computer, can I also work on my mac? or would it be a problem?

Give me an advice!

Thanks for the advice! I was a bit confused at first when I tried to use Autocad for mac(any versions) that I had to choose a template to start. Because when I clicked New , it didn't show a kind of blank drawing board, just had to choose a template. As for PC, if i select New, a blank drawing came out.

Is it normal?

The NEW command (which you use on Mac to start new drawing) on PC version opens "Select drawing template" dialog too. So there is no difference here and it is normal.

Maxim

Right. But then I'm not sure which one is the best to use for my case. I'm doing mechanical engineering, and using 'mm' rather than the Imperial inches. If you know which is the best to use, can you let me know?

I

No, you don't need to uninstall AutoCAD.
If you downloaded Update when AutoCAD was running, than quit AutoCAD, then look for AutoCAD2015Update2_English.dmg file in your Downloads folder, double click it to mount installation image, than double click pkg file inside it to start update.

Maxim
