Strange. I have max 2022 here and it works. All imagers I have added in Arnold RenderView's settings panel are also present in the Render Setup: Arnold Imager list. However, keep in mind that you cannot use both render views simultaneously.

Hi all.

I have discovered 2 errors when using 3DS Max 2023 and Arnold Renderer.

1. When rendering colored particles (made with tyFlow) the viewport displays the colors correct.

But when rendering there is a problem (image 1).

2. When using BlendedBoxMap the Active Shade renders bump map correct, but when switching to production render it goes wrong (image 2).

Anybody know how to fix thoose problems?

Thank you 🙂

Have a look to your Render Setup. There may be different settings for Production, Interactive and ActiveShade modes: CPU or GPU, Arnold Compliant or 3ds max Maps Support etc. Some shaders/maps are compatible, some not.

And just to add you no longer need to use ActiveShade to have an interactive preview. You can use the Arnold Render View

You are welcome. Remember that any render settings you are using in Active Shade aren't copied over when you move to Production rendering. That is why I recommend using the Arnold Render View for IPR.

Greetings, please support me - I am using 3ds max 2023. You recommend using arnold render view. I opened it, added color correction in the posts tab, etc. Now, when I want to perform the final high-quality rendering and press the F9 key, the end result is very different, because the elements added to the Arnold render viewer, such as color correction, stop working in the usual standard 3ds max render window. I know that this problem was solved in 3ds max 2024. But for technical reasons, I have to work in version 2023. How do I make the final render result look the same in both windows?

Strange. I have max 2022 here and it works. All imagers I have added in Arnold RenderView's settings panel are also present in the Render Setup: Arnold Imager list. However, keep in mind that you cannot use both render views simultaneously.

Do you mean you cannot see the same result on this window?

When I press F9 I still use the Arnold Render view to render the final image.

Correct.
The original Active Shade window shows some thing different from the Production Render.
When using Bercon tile I also have to use production render to get the correct image.

I can work with it tho 🙂
