This OSL node works by randomly placing a set of bitmaps on top of the first layer. You always need something as a base layer and then you build your shader on top of that.

Hello!

Is anyone else getting just a black color instead of the default number template when trying to use the "OSL: Randomized Bitmap"?

It also appears that anything that goes into the "file name 0:" slot just displays black. The other slots display properly.

I then get a slew of "invalid image files" errors when I use the plugin. Yes- I've tried many different textures and file formats with the same results.

I'm using:

3D Studio Max 2023.1

Arnold 5.3.2.6

RTX 3080

Windows 10

Correct. As mentioned above, anything I put on the first layer only shows as black. Every other layer displays properly.
