topic Force Background to be White? in 3ds Max Shading, Lighting and Rendering Forum

I'm rendering out a sequence and would like the background to be solid, bright white. I'm using physical camera exposure control, which I think is my problem because it renders grey. If I bump up the exposure, I can get a white background, but then the foreground objects are blown out. Is there a way I can force it to be white and still maintain all the control I like to have through my camera exposure?

Some things that might help:

Arnold renderer

Arnold skydome with an HDRI texture

Thanks for any help!

-stu

In Render Setup: Arnold, Arnold Renderer tab, scroll down to Environment, Backgrund & Atmosphere, change Background (Backplate) from Scene Environment to Custom Color and choose your color. That should do. Do NOT use the Background Color of the Environment Settings (let it black).

Heck yeah! Perfect! Danke!

I'm relatively new to Arnold, so I'm finding all these things that seem simple, but I just can't find the setting for it...

Thanks Again!
