Off Topic: Screen Recording Software?

We all write neat plugins and need to tell customers how to use them. But which recording software is able to log also all shortkeys and all other key-strokes in combination with the mouse? E.g. the user has to see it in the video, when I hold down the <Ctrl> or <Alt> button while I use the spinner.

I already tested Camtasia and HyperCam - both failed.

have you considered Screencast ?
That is the one Area uses for its shared videos and tutorials about Autodesk products.

It does display all mouse and keyboard entries.

After so many Years, I wonder why even commercial screen recording software is still not able to capture and display such events. Looks like the masses would be unable to cope such informations 😉
