topic Creating History sub menu in 3ds Max Programming Forum

Hi all,

I've written a script for opening project configuration files if the loaded max file exists in the project structure. If the max file isn't in the project directory structure it defaults to normal config.

I've added the File Open option to my menu but wanted to add a history submenu to it. Open button that if you hover over will drop down the file history (recent documents).

Trouble is I've no real idea where to start. I've looked at menuman submenu but I don't really want a submenu. Its more of a rollout - in effect, it would be like the standard File Open option but instead of exposing Open from vault etc it opens the history list.

I'm using getOpenFileName which has the history category and defaults to "MAXScriptFileOpenSave" so my file list is saved but how do I go about displaying this info in a menu rollout?

Cheers

El-d
