I want to make a crowd so that

Object1 is a person
Object2 is a line
if Object2 touches Object1, Object2 will start an animation.

But how can I let it detect that Object2 thouches Object1 somewhere.

I think I would use one of the following commands (among other) depending on "touch" accuracy requirement :

intersectRay / intersectRayEx <node> <ray>
intersecRayScene <ray>
intersects <node> <node>

You can find the description of these commands in 3DS Max Maxscript help.

Maybe the last one would give enough accuracy in your case ..

amarhys
