Referenced to what though I wonder. The composite map seems to be still part of the material, because when I select the material in the slate editor, the composite map is still there as part of it. It's just not hooked up to anything.

I was just trying to find a command that would delete the class instance, or it is indeed referenced by something, finding out what and then breaking the reference.

Hi Guys,

I have a script that loops through my scene materials and looks for a "CompositeTexturemap" in the diffuse slot of a material that has only 1 bitmap texture in a layer. It then assigns that single bitmap as the actual diffuse map, effectively replacing the Composite Map.

The problem I have is that after I assign the bitmap to the diffuse map slot of the material, the composite map does not get deleted. It's still part the material. It's just not linked to anything. How do I delete the composite map?

It must still be referenced somewhere...I just had a scene do this to me that I thought I had cleaned and the material just wouldn't go away.

Use the slate editor and break the link from the comp mat. Then apply what was the sub material to the object. Clear the view and get the material on the object again. it should be gone.
