Hi guys,

I'm learning how to use 3ds max and there's a problem in my project. I've created splines and added sweep modifier but when I render, its completly weird... I have no ideia what is causing it and how to fix it

It is difficult to make an assessment of the problem with the image you provided. It would help to have the Max file.

The image however does make me question the scale of the object and the potential that you are encountering the data base precision limits of Max. What are the world coordinates of the object? Can you post the Max file? Note, to post a Max file you have to zip it first.

I am still using Max 2019. It appears the file you posted is 2020. Can ou save and post a 2019 compatible file.

If the units you are using ar feet-inches temporarily change them to Feet with decimal feet (Customize, Units Setup...). With world coordinates active, click the Zoom extents all icon and with move active move the cursor to the approximate location of a portion of an object that is furthest from 0,0,0. Note the coordinates of this point. A point about 10 million units from 0,0,0 will be rounded off to zero decimal places. A point 100000 units from 0,0,0 will be rounded off to 0.01 units, etc. Max supports a little bit more than 7 significant digits of precision.

Note that your Display units are meters and System units are Inches. Make these both the same.

I drew a line across the visible geometry. Note that the lower left vertex is at:

and the upper right at:

Select the geometry and move it to 0,0,0 and you will get better resolution for the geometry.

By having the geometry positioned so far from the world origin you are using a lot of the limited Max precision for locating the object and not much is left for the details of the geometry itself. This is a common problem with Max.
