      <title>Beginer Question about modeling</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;hi guys i am new to 3ds maxand while modeling something i am getting this problem can anyone guide me what the way to fix this i have tried moving the vertices but face looks quite awkard i atached the photo so suggest me the method as i am completley new to modeling thnx as you see in the pic there is a curve or whatever line is goig in one face and face is not smooth&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;All polygons are made of triangles under the hood,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So, even when you see polygons made of 4,5,6, etc,....&amp;nbsp; sides, they are actually divided&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Into triangles. So what's happening in your case is that, you have a 4 sided polygon,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This polygon is made of 2 triangles that were coplanar, and this is why you were not seeing this edge,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When you moved one of the vertices, and this vertex actually belongs to one of the two triangles,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This caused the two triangles to stop being coplanar, so what you're seeing here are the actual triangles.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Personally I cannot advise you on what to do based on the screenshot, because probably when seeing the&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Whole picture, maybe you had a different/better approach to model your object without having the need to move&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The vertex. Of course, I'm just guessing, in many cases, you need to move your vertices and other elements around.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
