      <description>&lt;P&gt;@Anonymous&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When you do a negative extrusion like you are doing in the 2nd image, it is normal for the sides to be there.&amp;nbsp; You are extruding the &lt;EM&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;polygon&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/EM&gt; so Max is leaving the original &lt;EM&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Edges &lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;in place and making a copy of the edges to travel with the polygon negative extrusion.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;If you do not want the sides just delete them after completing the extrusion.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;@Anonymous&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Sorry,&amp;nbsp;in the case you are showing you will not be able to delete just the portion of the sides that you want.&amp;nbsp; You need to target weld each of the original vertices to the new location of the extruded polygon.&amp;nbsp; This will remove just the portion of the sides that you want.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline" image-alt="Target Weld.png" style="width: 999px;"&gt;&lt;img src="https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/734373i5CE0FA83D4A71582/image-size/large?v=v2&amp;amp;px=999" role="button" title="Target Weld.png" alt="Target Weld.png" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
