Sweep modifier problem - WRONG SCALE PROBLEM

So... I am trying to apply a sweep modifier to a rectangle:

- i convert the rectangle to an editable poly

- i make a polyline that i'll use as a custom section

- i apply sweep modifier to this rectangle and choose the polyline i made earlier to be my custom section

and BOOM... it scales my custom sections in the sweep without me doing anything else..

I can't get my head around this issue..

Yes i tried Xform and collapse to both the shapes/lines, yes i tried creating this in a new file, yes i've reset everything - aaaand No, none of those solutions worked......

I'll attach a screenshot of an axonometric view on both the rectangle that sweep is applied on and the custom section to see the difference of scale......

Convert the rectangle to an editable spline then apply the sweep modier.
