Note the change you allude to is not due to an upgrade change in the user interface. The difference is because you had a Standard scanline material in your old example and a Physical Material in your most recent image.

Hi,

I uploaded a new version of 3ds Max but now, when I open the Material Editor, I can't find the diffuse button to apply a reference image to a plane. Plus circles have a different aspect (they used to be grey, now they're colored).

Any idea how to fix it?

Click the button next to the Base Color.

Better yet, get comfortable with the Slate Editor.

Thank's a lot.

These upgrades drive me crazy. It's probably slights changes to a confirmed graphic designer but for a 100% rookie like me, the few I learned in previous version seems to be gone. **** it's difficult.

Anyway thank you for the solution (and "jolie photo de l'Arc de Triomphe").

El Rookito de France.
