Hi there

Thank you for the response, i dont need someone to do it for me because i need to learn to do it myself. What i need to know is how to keep it all the same and just remove the middle part ( with roof and just get the 2 tanks and their detail into 2 object files. I need to place them on separate places in the design, i need to be able to keep the Axis at 0,0,0 as well.

I am not sure how to say this but i hope the statement above will explain what i need to do

Hi There

I have a file that has 2 x diesel tanks as a unit but i need to separate them to place them in different locations. I then need to save them as a STL or SKP file. I need to separate the 2 into 2 units. Please help.

The project is building a diesel depot for a client with 3 of these units serving as 3 separate filling points for trucks etc. I am using AGI32 as i am not familiar enough with Revit to get the render done with the lighting and that is why i need to export to .SKP so i can convert to LAI from within sketchup

The file contains 14 objects. Are you asking how to separate geometry in an object or requesting someone to do it for you? If the former just select the object, then in the Modify tab select the Polygon sub-object and select the geometry you want to separate and click Detach.

Try the following:

To reduce confusion, hide everything but M19.15

Select M19.15

Select polygon in the sub-object menu the the polygons that form one of the tanks.

Click Detach and give the selected geometry a name (e.g., tank2).

It is now a separate tank. If that's not what you want you will have to be more specific.
