Slice Plane snapping

This would be very useful to allow the Slice Plane to snap to the vertices, edges, and faces of the mesh it is being used on. I have no idea why the Slice Plane can not handle this kind of snapping, but this is something really frustrating and time-consuming.

I just tried and the SlicePlane snaps properly to all vertices, edges and faces.

Which version are you using? I'm running the 2021.3 version, and I remember having this issue since previous versions.

I've just figured out that the Slice Plane only snaps on Editable Poly objects. It will not work on the Edit Poly modifier.

I checked that, too: in 2022 it's working on both, object & modifier.

Good to know that! Soon I'll move to the 2022 version and get this fixed (just need some time to re-install all the scripts I use). Thanks for letting me know 🙂

Working : Snapping of Slice Plane to edges and corners of non-selected polygons of Editable Poly

Not Working: Snapping of Slice Plane to edges and corners of Selected Polygons of Editable Poly.

Can anyone help or confirm the existence of such problem? It renders basic Snap function useless in most cases for me

I can confirm. Does not work on selected polygon's vertices either.
