So, I'm a university/ college student and we'll be learning to use 3DS Max next semester and I like being slightly ahead. Can someone recommend a good way to learn it? I like working from books normally so I can work at my own speed. I find videos annoying because I have to keep pausing it or their screen is blurry or some stupid problem. Also, money is rather tight so if you recommend a blog tutorial thing that's free or a book then obviously I could get it at my library. Thank you.

Well not following video tutorials with what youtube can offer it's a pity.
First, what element would you like to model?
Then find a video on youtube about this element and try, try once try two.
Then you will get used to it.

I would recommend Autodesk 3ds Max Learning Channel, LinkedIn Learning & Udemy.
But if you are looking for books, go to pdfdrive.com and type "3ds Max". Good luck!
Please remember that you can also become a Beta user at Autodesk. This way, you will be able to log bugs, learn about new updates, and collaborate with other beta users and Autodesk employees.
If you have any issues with learning 3ds Max or will discover some bugs, please, post the problems or questions on this forum, and we'll try to help you as fast as possible.
